Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) incorporates various striking and grappling techniques across multiple combat sport styles. Members who train in MMA at City Boxing become masters of both fighting on their feet and on the ground. City Boxing's MMA training brings together the best skills from our Boxing, Kickboxing, and Jiu-Jitsu instruction.
MMA is not an independent martial art. To train in MMA, members must already be participating in our Advanced Boxing and Muay Thai Kickboxing classes as well as have earned at least a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Sparring equipment is required for all members attending in MMA classes.
As a new member, you will not be able to immediately participate in MMA instruction. As you advance in our various combat sports over time, you will be able to attend this more rigorous program.
